Born outside of La Cage but raised, nurtured and schooled right in the old hospital, Jo is a young person, but their ambitions are sky-high, mostly thanks to the high standards Tony, their parent, set upon them. Being the kid of the local teacher has not always been easy, but what is even worse, Tony is a very active person and has always had high expectations from Jo. Some would even say that Jo always competed with the standard set by Marie Pelletier, who made it out of La Cage and into the Moralintern administration. To add insult to injury, Marie regularly writes to Tony, who raised them, about their accomplishment, and JO JUST HATES IT.
So, yeah, Jo has some issues. But they also have their life ahead of them; they have a loving partner, perform as a DJ at a local club, work on a small, secret passion project, and everything will turn out fine in the end, right?

Bearded Vulture Club

They used to be THE cool kids - organizing disco parties, performing stand-ups, and not caring about anything (or anybody) else. Now, as adults, they are in charge of the best club in La Cage (no matter what The Second Club thinks) and will do anything to make sure their guests enjoy themselves. But the upcoming few days will also force them to remember the past they would rather forget: have they grown enough to face up to what they have done or will they continue to avoid it forever?

Polyamorous Paranormal Pursuers

The Polyamorous Paranormal Pursuers (3P) are a group of more than friends who are about one thing, and one thing only - to enable their psychic abilities. They do this by expanding their minds to the endless possibilities of human connection. Through polyamory… and love. But also science – yes, definitely science.
3P is about more things than they have members, which creates a colorful tapestry of emotions, relationships, and all the drama that comes with it. Their original goal is to research psychic abilities - they test out different relationship couplings and styles, all while writing it down on a clipboard (otherwise it's not science!).

However - Humans are not guinea pigs and have emotions, hence the true science has become more of a shiny veneer of gloss on a chaotic mess of entangled relationships.

Apartment Block B

Everybody who lives in La Cage is mostly poor and desperate. The families and professionals living in Apartment Blocks are the ones who really try to keep some semblance of normality in their lives. The Block B consists mostly of tradesmen and people of other desirable professions. People with no exceptional wealth or status, but the ones who are good and honest at their job and are beneficial to the La Cage. Educated, but not burgeois - teacher, nurse, students, social worker or people jilted from Block A. They mostly want to stay far from the troubles and extreme ideologies (to a small degree of success) but are willing to help each other as much as they can - like a big family.
