Themes: anarchy, solidarity, community
Lumen did not start out poor, living in a shoddy excuse for a flat with random other young people. They started in the nicest parts of the city - but in the course of their teenage education, they realised how much the system sucks. Not just the Coalition-run administration in Revachol: ANY system. They figured out the only way forward is through learning, solidarity, and anarchism. This made them one of the driving forces of the group of students who decided: *Hey, let's just build a utopic student community together in some cheaper part of the city.*
And now... here they are. Some might be losing hope, but Lumen is really intent on sticking through this. They might change their opinions on how to do so and what the ideal system might be, but they will do anything to ensure the flat works out. It simply has to.
Everybody who lives in La Cage is mostly poor and desperate. The families and professionals living in Apartment Blocks are the ones who really try to keep some semblance of normality in their lives. The Block B consists mostly of tradesmen and people of other desirable professions. People with no exceptional wealth or status, but the ones who are good and honest at their job and are beneficial to the La Cage. Educated, but not burgeois - teacher, nurse, students, social worker or people jilted from Block A. They mostly want to stay far from the troubles and extreme ideologies (to a small degree of success) but are willing to help each other as much as they can - like a big family.
The collective of anarchists is, as it usually goes, not the most structured group with any clear hierarchy. They banded together because they shared a common vision. The Union is right about the oppression of capital, but wrong about the requirement of authority. The mankind does not need to be governed. The movement stands on three main principles - mutual aid, voluntary cooperation, and direct action. Those are non-negotiable, however, when it comes to the beliefs of the individual members, they vary greatly. Maybe that is the reason that they fight as much against the regime, as among themselves. But the group is fresh and ready to take on some less abstract shape. How will the anarchy shape La Cage?
The Polyamorous Paranormal Pursuers (3P) are a group of more than friends who are about one thing, and one thing only - to enable their psychic abilities. They do this by expanding their minds to the endless possibilities of human connection. Through polyamory… and love. But also science – yes, definitely science.
3P is about more things than they have members, which creates a colorful tapestry of emotions, relationships, and all the drama that comes with it. Their original goal is to research psychic abilities - they test out different relationship couplings and styles, all while writing it down on a clipboard (otherwise it's not science!).
However - Humans are not guinea pigs and have emotions, hence the true science has become more of a shiny veneer of gloss on a chaotic mess of entangled relationships.
True living is done with drugs, music, and giving not even a little bit about what your parents or neighbors might say. The wild youth of Revachol. Life is supposed to be HARDCORE TO THE MAX, which means drinking, drugs, sex, dancing, and anodic music.
