Teaser
The Wild Pines convoy was not supposed to go through this part of town. However, due to a demonstration, they had to reroute and pass through the La Cage. What was probably supposed to be a sweet jackpot of corporate cash, meds or weapons turned out to be a nightmare for everybody involved in the sorry affair. Hard to say what actually happened, but what is clear is that the convoy started firing back with automatic weapons…and in the end, survivors of the combat had to move out and secure one of the empty rooms as their temporary headquarters. These well-armed mercenaries are now trying to find their footing and get to safety. However, their common past is much more difficult than they would like.
All characters in the group will leave the game after the first half. The players will return as one of the RCM group characters. The Hideout game is very specific, and its design centers around waiting, slow tension, claustrophobic relationships, and boredom.

What do you need to be a good leader?
Nobody knows for sure, but Jasmine is probably really close to the ideal. Bright eyes that see far, both literally and figuratively, a steady hand in a fight, a reasonable amount of charisma and lots of sheer willpower and persistence. Jasmine survived everything the world threw at them, including all the leadership challenges, and is still the team leader, friend to all and mentor to some.
However, even they must accept that this time, they might have hit the wall. The team's situation in La Cage started out very bad and will only get worse - and Jasmine is not growing any stronger or more talented. This all will end with blood. The only question is whose.

The rookie in the group has a lot to prove - and the fact they played a key role in everyone else surviving the ambush does not suffice yet. Vanilla really, really wants to stick with the team but they are also the only one who still has a possibility to swallow their pride and go back to a normal civilian life.

Long ago, she wanted to have a nice, normal life. Like the downtown Revachol people who live in those nice renovated buildings with safe streets. To finish high school, maybe even college, work in some calm little office and maybe, maybe make it to something like assistant regional manager.
Then shit happened, and most importantly, specifically, a brief encounter with La Cage happened. Her doom spiral ended with her leaving Revachol scarred both physically and mentally and setting up a new life overseas to pay off debts.
This new Mint is a seasoned killer and field medic who is more than able to add value to the team.

Gunpowder was born in Samara - and when the Wild Pines came, they wanted to join the mercenaries from the first moment. Even inside their own community, Gunpowder was obviously destined for greatness, to bring along a new golden age for their people. And the company is a key experience on their way.
They love all the modern drills, armour, weapons and tactics. For Gunpowder, these are the basic tools they need to use to forge a real nation out of their now diminished people. Now, what others would see as a catastrophe, they see as an opportunity. Their stay in La Cage is a great time to study the theory of how you change dozens of hapless individuals interested only in personal gain into a great nation. And Gunpowder will lead.
