Jaydon is the strong one of the Maier clan, and when we say strong, we mean “violent if needed, mostly just handling heavy objects”. On Tylor’s order, they often got their hands dirty to help the family business flourish. They have done everything they were asked so far, but nothing goes according to plan anymore - with their siblings or the one they love. Even the gambling has been going badly recently.
They just want the reward they are owed for their years of sacrifice, and to finally enjoy a joyful life. Are they not deserving of happiness? Did they really have to go through years and years of slowly building respect on the streets just to lose it because their siblings are too stupid?

The Patterson family moved from a nice and safe place into Revachol for reasons incomprehensible to the locals. Whatever the cause, they obviously weren’t prepared for the reality of La Cage, and the prospect of staying here for a few more years seems extremely daunting right now.

Zenna wanted to prove themselves as a citizen of Revachol and not just a posh kid of super boring parents. But they have quickly gotten in over her head and are risking their family reputation and most importantly - maybe even their own life. After all, running with the wrong crowd and getting egged on to more and more audacious *pranks* in the better parts of Revachol can get you a fine or a black eye, but in La Cage,... such people's lives tend to be much shorter. Zenna will need to decide if they want to double down on their new crowd or try to make amends. Both ways will hurt.

Rowan is part of a reporter/artist duo with Eli Baciu. They used their talent to tell stories about poverty. Ironically, this has earned them at least some small degree of fame. Both have been away from the neighbourhood for some years now. Now they are coming back - with recorders and a photographic apparatus.

The duo is going to be faced with some tough choices. The line between documentary, social commentary and poverty porn is thin indeed: especially if you have powerful people breathing down your neck. Including Rowan's parents, who are not really sure if they approve of Rowan's work and might want and need them to settle down and become financially stable.

Reine was the troublemaker of the family. But they are probably not that any longer since they ran away a while ago and decided to find their own luck in the shadier levels of La Cage. The Gessle family was broken by the sweatshop accident caused by migrant workers - and Reine just split and decided to break the family bonds, at least for some time. Now Reine spends time with their drill slam posse, releasing their anger and slowly upping their game. But living on the streets and in the sewers somehow isn’t as lit as they make it sound. The struggle for survival is endless and tiring, friendships are superficial or for the weak, and the comfort of their family is still just a few floors away. But maybe they just have to start at the bottom and see where they will get from there.

Hun was not born as a tough leader of a drillslam posse and a fairly successful clothes designer/maker. They used to be the younger sibling of Momma Meier, the matriarch of the now-rich Meier family. But when the going got tough, Hun did not want to comply with the new family rules, did not want to run a sweatshop, and found themselves more and more at odds with the rest of their family. After some unsavoury moments, Hun left the family apartment and business and had to stay with the sewer people for a few weeks.
But Hun built back. Now, they are leading a drillslam crew and running a “designer boutique” with their partner. Hun managed and won. So why is everything still balancing on a knife's edge all the time? Something's got to give.
